Fun Fact: “Say Hello to the Angels” exemplifies Interpol’s early sound: rhythmic, staccato guitar lines accentuated by equally rhythmic drums, and by the end of the song you have forgotten how it began because it sounds far darker, or brighter, than at the start. Interpol was one of the breakout “indie” bands from the NY scene that helped bring the notion of indie music into the mainstream.
